I have a chunk of this and got around to slabbing it. I know its some kind of granite,and happened to think its larvikite.It has the blue flashes as you turn it .Anyone familiar with this? snuffy

Yeah, it's one of those feldspar rich granites that they use a lot for counter tops. The feldspar is a labradorite type with flash but usually in only the blue or gray tones. Doesn't have the blue/gold mix of spectrolite...Mel

I just refinished some counters in brown/black also. It has the feldspar flash as well.

Blue pearl granite , is a trade name for it also . i think it is a cool stone .
