It's a nice fire agate, but not 10K nice. Someone is wishful thinking...very few fire agates are worth $540/carat.

I have no knowledge of going prices, but I would think it's "very" high priced. Very pretty to look at though!

Single color in the gold range $2.00-$8.00 Caret. Muti color with purple blues 4 or more colors % of coverage completely covers surface $40.00 - $50.00 Caret for the peacocks royals in the five color ranges.
I think best colors come from the convex side of a good fire agate. Some people call it Back Fire , two side Concave our Convex to work with.

Oh to add Fire agate made the Precious gem stone list in 1992, After Tiffany held out on the 7th vote. Was said Tiffany was buying the fire agate claims in the southwest. Before their deciding vote. Article is in Lapidary Journal November 1992.

Hmmm maybe I should put in an offer? Like $10. Manybe that will give them a reality check. My guess is that they will be taking that one to the grave with them.

A price that high and they have the nerve to charge $1.80 for shipping? Couldn't send it for free?

boy I'd like to know where you're getting mine run deer creek rough for $7 -$15/lb. I paid $20/lb at quartzite and thought I was doing pretty well.
