:help: My neighbor here in Quartzsite found this in the desert. It's really interesting and I thought I saw tiny bones and a skellie. Makes me think of a petrified dino egg that was half hatched or something. Am I crazy? The underside The skellie If it's not a critter, maybe a petrified rotted potato? LOL. If you need better/closer pics of anything, just ask. Thanks for your help. Jo

Fossilized Sea Cucumber ? That does not look like ANYTHING I ever saw, even in a museum, but it is really neat looking. It almost reminds you of a huge Owl pellet, with little bones and teeth exposed ! Harley

I don't know what it is but as to your other question, I've met you and yes, you are crazy. In a good way, not the Charlie Sheen way.

Did you try it with a magnet? Looks like lots of rust, that outer shell.

Is that an opal nodule, or maybe an agate (carnelian) nodule? Are those white things chalcedony?
