I just have received a package from Kingsley North with MK 303 8" diamond blade. There is sticker on the blade which says "Made in Korea". I thought that MK diamonds should be made in USA. The other thing is they sent me blade for 1" arbor without bushing. I ordered 5/8". Has anybody bought recently this blade?
By the way, this is second mistake by Kingsley North, they have already sent me Lortone 3lb double barrel tumbler with 110 V motor, although I specified 220 V.

Aww Zotika, I'm sorry to hear you've had problems. Can't help you with the stuff you ordered but that's pretty poor service. I've only dealt with them once and was not happy with their service or the rough I bought. I thought most blades come with several sized bushings to cover more than one size of arbor.

Cher: Many saw blades come with a knock out bushing to go from smaller to larger arbors but ya can't go from a larger to a smaller. It just don't work that way......mel

Sorry to hear that Z, I hope they straighten it out for you quickly. I've had good luck with Kingsley so far but I never ordered anything big from them.

I ordered some stuff and was only so-so pleased. The sent the wrong template, and did replace it when I sent the 1st one back, which oly cost 63 cents to mail - but they should have ofered to pay the return shipping.
Most of the findings I got, I have since found just as good, better, or cheaper elsewhere.

I managed to make bushing for my 8" MK Koran diamond blade. It took me 45 min and now I have blade running. But I think this is not the point. They should send the right thing in the first place. Zotika

The problem is that they aren't doing a very good job of getting their orders right in the first place. It doesn't do much to most of us but to put us out a little bit, but Z is in a little different situation. Serbia is a little further away and he'd be the one paying the shipping costs until they reimburse him, if they would reimburse him in the first place! Time after time I've read about someone having to send something back to them and saying it's the last time they would deal with them and as far as I'm concerned I wouldn't order anything from them now. Customer service should be the main concern for any business and they seem to be sorely lacking in it. Zocky, you never said if they sent you the right tumbler or not. Is that something recent that can be taken care of along with the blade problem?

Joe, they did sent the right kind of tumbler but with motor that runs on USA 110 V current not one for Europe type of current 220 V. So, I had to buy transformer. This was earlier order. I have a problem to order from USA because all of lapidary suppliers don't ship to Serbia. So I have to go to a local firm that makes that kind of purchase (someone is USA, make purchases and then ship to Serbia). But that cost more and takes about a month to get to me. The biggest problem is that I am not direct buyer so I could not complain.

i buy the MK-303 6 inch blades from Kingsley and never had a problem before, but it figures they'd screw up on an international order....bummer, Zotika!
next time you need something bought here and shipped there, let me know, i can ship from here to you, no problem.

I was going to offer that myself, Z but as long as someone can cut out a lot of the time and make sure the orders are right. It would certainly be quicker this way but it might be a little more expensive, then again maybe not! I did understand about the voltage Zotika, I lived in Spain for a year and a half in my Aif Force days. It used to drive us crazy when we lived "downtown" on the economy of the Spanish and not on base. Transformers for our TV's and Stereo's and if our equipment did match the Voltage we had to make sure we had the "European plug". Ahhhh those were the days!

when my husband moved here (to the USA) all of his stereo equipment was 220V and we needed a transformer to step it down to 110V..what a pain in the bracket that was. i carried all the various electrical plugs with us when we traveled until hairdryers finally got cheap enough and i just bought extras for all overseas friends and family spare bedroom drawers.......
but i've never been to Spain (but i kinda like the music).

I use the 303 in a overhead 10" tile saw from harbor freight. Works great but be careful not to force the feed and dish the blade. Mine is also a 5/8 arbor. I mainly use as a trim saw for small stones or large flat ones. They are made in Korea but they stand behind them.

barranca diamond.is claimiing that they are the only american saw blade manufacturer still in .business.the have a repair service for notched rim blades only and make saws and grinders. i have had a 20+ year relationship with kingsley north but as in any relationship nothing is perfect 1 bought a 12 inch lortone slab saw last may 960.00 credit card and will be paying on it for a while, they sent the saw with a no name blade even though the catalog specified an mk .i called lortone and talked to the ceo he said some distrbutors do order the saw and use their own blade. i ordered a 108.oo gemking by mk so when it arrives it wouldnot cut ,called dan ceo he says dress it ,i no good i say so he cops and attitude and says send it back and they will send to factory so it turned out defective from the plant. ,i stick with them only because i have a credit account 30 day net with them. claims he is 3rd. generation since 1939 still in business. my 2,4,6,8 ,and 10 cents worth. gemmaster
