I had a great time and made some new friends on this Summer gift exchange. What a wonderful way for us to share and learn of things from places we may never get a chance to go to. Thank you Rockrookie for all you sent. Now time for me to get busy making something from all this. Here are a few pics of what he sent. An awesome piece of raspberry quartz Ocean Jasper! Ready to cab! AWESOME!!! Thank you Rockwizz for doing this. Ray

That's a great batch of fun! I don't know about the raspberry quartz but pink quartz can fade in the sun so it may need to be sheltered so it doesn't fade. Fran

So...I got MY box from paul/rockrookie...WOW! The board is so lucky because he is in this exchange twice...means more people get to share his stuff! Unfortunately not much sun today, so I'm going to wait before I post any pics as I want you to see what he stuffed in there!
I got some 'almost' finished tumbles for my vibe as well as slabs to cab, pet wood that is different than snuffy's or engineersteve's and some 'unknowns' for you all to identify when I get it worked up.
Thanks Paul...great box! Ands thanks Ozzy for managing this! Sue

Thanks Paul, I opened my box yesterday of awesome material. My daughter shares this hobby with me, and from various sample packs and salted bucket gem hunting, my daughter had a couple pieces of adventurine (about 1 inch square) that she thought were large and they are a couple of her favorites. So image the look on her face when we opened the box together (I'm not allowed to open boxes alone and she sees a piece of adventurine that is about half the size of the MRFB!! Many other nice pieces and slabs as well - Montana agate, Fairburn area agate, some rough and some polished, one beatiful agate slice with a crystal/druzy center, lazurite in a quartz matrix, a huge variety of awesome slabs some polished and some not, but all ready for work, and probably much more (I'm writing this from memory at work). Thanks again Paul!! Steve

OK, finally got some sun... Gold sheen obsidian Moonstone from Naturenut by way of rockrookie... Pet wood (different than the other types I have!) Agate, unknown type Agate, another unknown, looks similar to my Savannah River Travertine slab??? Big purple/pink with spots....?wood??? Tumbles for my vibe, ready for polish more tumbles Also included was a box of slabs that didn;t make it into the pics as they are already being sorted and some have been cut into preforms... This came with grit for my vibe as well. Thanks Paul for customizing our boxes!!! Sue
