I just was wondering what any one uses as a stand - i.e. is it a paper clip that you bent, did you bend some wire or did you buy an acrylic stand? Just wondering. Thanks Tammy

I use mostly acrylic stands, but heavy drapery hooks can be rebent to make a nice stand. Just be sure to cut or grind the sharp point off of them first. Small pieces of interesting drift wood make nice stands also.

Do you mean stands for displaying your work in a display case of stands for photographing your work? Bob

Well, that is a good question, when I wrote this note I was thinking about the photography aspect. I do have a few stands for sales, but if you have an idea on inexpensive display stands, I am willing to read.

For display - 10 gauge copper wire works pretty good and shines up good with a little Zam on and old t-shirt before you bend it

For photography I use these stands. They are made from standard off the shelf parts from Tap Plastics. I cut a hole in the background paper and poke the ends up through the hole. I then put some double sided clear tape on the protruding end and mount my cab. Here is a side view. This gives the cab a "floating" appearance when you take the photo. Bob
