I agree strange looking wood. Really cool though. Those intarsias are looking great too

Very interesting wood pieces there Dan. Really cool too. It's cool to see the progress of the intarsias too. Thanks for showing the "not so pretty" side of the process.

The first piece is self-collected from near Cuba, NM. We have quite a bit of copper replaced pet wood around there. I know where there is a huge round eroding away, but it's way to big for me to get. The last two I bought at a rock shop in Deming, NM. I'm not sure where they're from. Almost all of their stuff was from NM and Mexico, so I'm guessing it's from NM.
