My hubby cut this one the other day. It might be my new pet. Does anyone know where this red, white, and blue Agate may have been collected? Thanks...

That is a great looking piece and I'm very poor on location IDs, sorry.

Could it be from AZ? We (RTH) went hunting for something like that in Brenda last Jan. Can anyone tell if this is what we were looking for? Jo

Jo, I've never seen anything as good as that in Brenda but I guess it's possible. This one could be a Coyamito Agate.

It might be the 4th of July agate from the Butte (Arizona). I am pretty sure it looked like that!

It could be anything from Mexico or the west. It's one of the geodes I picked up at the 10 cent a pound sale offered by the rockhounds in Sacramento. Someone told me that a buyer had picked up a bunch of Laguna the night before the sale. COuld be one that was left behind? I'm going to research images of all your suggestions, thanks, folks.

Yeah, if I had to guess I would also guess Laguna, coyamito, or one of the other, old-stock agates that came out of Northern Mexico many moons ago.
The crust sure looks right for Laguna...
