Brand new to the hobby...
Can anyone point me to the best tumbler under $100?
Ones that are tough and involve minimal maintenance would be great.

I don't know much about tumblers, but common knowledge pretty much is that all tumblers can, and sometime will brake down. And not many cost less then $80 without needing a far amount of maintenance! Harbor Freight, has some cheap tumblers. and sometimes they are on sale for $40 for a dual barrel. Check here for a resent discussion about these tumblers - forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=tottumb&action=display&thread=46261~Colt Chainmail

The Rock Shed has "starter" sets for under $100. Both Lortone and Thumlers (http://www.therockshed.com/tumbler4.html). A lot of folks on the forum have ordered from The Rock Shed (including me). They're a good bunch to work with. Hey Snuffy, I just notice that as well! Too Funny! And welcome aboard, James (forgot my manners ).

Snuffy and Paul are correct. Don't buy Harbor Freight. Welcome James
