I bought this old Star Diamond 10# tumbler at a household auction . The plastic gear on the motor was brittle from age, and lasted about an hour . Where can i get plastic gears for this ?

I heard Star Diamond sold their tumbler line to Lortone prior to going under. You might check with Lortone.

I know this thread is a bit old and not sure if you still look at this site, but did you ever find the plastic gear to replace the brittle one that broke? I am having the same issue. Thanks

This sort of part is pretty generally "hardware" parts. If you have an industrial supply nearby, see if they handle Boston Gear products, or a related supplier. Boston has a huge assortment of gears available.

This is a good thread. I've been looking on EBay for some old Sears Companion 6 pounders made by Star Diamond, and would like to find a source for the rubber barrel liners. No question on the Scott Murray 12 pound metal barrels, Thumlers has them. But the 6 pound is more a specialty item. If anybody does manage to find a set of gears that fit, I'm all ears.

For the record, Thumler's (True Square Metal Products) made the 12 (or 15) lb barrels and liners for HP, Contempo, DP and Thumlers model B. The Scott Murray was a little different size. Scott Murray was bought by Lortone so you may find something from them.

Spur gear, helical gear, internal gear I think I might be better off going into someplace.

The Thumler's 12 lb. liner also fits a Star Diamond barrel. The only 6 lb. liners I've found have been used. Can't help with the gear.

Somebody made 6 lb. liners that fit inside larger barrels for multiple loads but I don't know who. I saw the barrels years ago at a tailgate sale. The owner of Thumler's told me his B model liner fit everything out there except Scott Murray. I don't think anybody still makes 6 lb. lined barrels. You may have to experiment with repairing the old liners. If you knew what the liners were made of it would be easier but there are compounds for repairing just about everything. Rubber roof repair goup for RV roofs comes to mind.
