Beautifuls cabs! Man I love those dryheads. Wish that dig was still open! When I went there to dig years ago, those distorted patterns with the small fortifications were from the part of the bed near the surface. Then when you got about four feet down in the limestone, there was a layer of nodules with full face fortification patterns. Haven't a clue why it occurred that way but when digging, we often just rejected much of the surface stuff as it tended to be real druzy. Some of it was very fancy but with a lighter matrix. There were lots of nodules of it just laying on the waste piles. Still kicking myself for not gathering up a bunch when I was there.....Mel

Those are beautiful, glad you finally worked them. I am fond of Dryhead Agates although I only have a few specimens. Mel, I wish the dig was still open too but oh well, at least some of those beauties got out before it closed down.

Nice cabs Geoff. I like the 2nd to the last one best. Dryheads can be a bit tricky to cab. The softer matrix tends to ground unevenly but you did a fantastic job on them all. I would've loved to have even had the opportunity to dig Dryheads! steve
