A bunch. I've been using a 16" BD303 for the last 3 months. Been cutting really hard agate, and the blade hasn't had to be dressed yet. As soon as the blade on my 10" starts to wear out, I plan on ordering a couple of BD 303's for it too. Don

OK, what do you mean that 'the blade hasn't had to be dressed yet?' I am fairly new and have not heard this before, at least that I recall any way.
Thanks so much,
Tammy

With use, a blade will start to get dull. The surface diamonds have broken down and been covered with metal from the rim of the blade. To dress the blade, you can make a few cuts through a piece of obsidian, cinder block or an old silicon carbide grinding wheel. This removes the metal and exposes new diamond. It's possible that your old blades need to be dressed, and may continue cutting for a while longer. If you have a piece of inexpensive black obsidian, try making 2 or 3 cuts through it, then try cutting a piece of hard agate. Don

Yes. Just make a few cuts through an old broken cinder block. It should cut easy, even with a dull blade.

Yeah, I've been using a 303 for cutting hard pet wood and agate for several months now and it shows almost no wear at all. Makes very smooth cuts too. It's a very good blade.....Mel
