Wow, those are fantastic. You did a great job capturing leaves in rock. My favorite is the fourth one you posted of the close-ups.

Thanks again for the additional comments. Brian, Here's a close-up of "high noon" as you requested. It is Brazilian agate. This was the first one I made. BTY, your rainbow wood, with those fantastic pastel colors, would make some great leaf cabs. Garry

Yes, the Brazilian leaf is a mind-blowing specimen. Can't believe it's your first, as it's the perfect blend of style and color. Thanks for the close-up! Orange and other autumn colors are definitely the way to go here...

Thanks for your comments. Jo, The cabs were all made from 3/16 inch slabs. Here's the back-lit Brazilian leaf as requested: KD, I used my trim saw, Genie and Dremel(for the edges) to do these. Oh, and also a diamond scribe if you do the veins. Garry

these are so good, a tutorial would be greatly appreciated. i was finding it hard enough to cut out fish patterns with my trim saw, these are way more complicated and symetrical. it must take eons to polish all those edges with a dremel!!!!!!!!

I don't know if MossyRockhound invented a different method, but there is a step by step tutorial called "How To Carve a Leaf" as Chapter 7 of Ed & Leola Wertz's book called, Handbook of Gemstone Carving.
