Definitely enjoy lookin' at those Garry! The Stone Canyon leaf blows my mind! I believe I see an AZ wood leaf, and the very last (Regency?) is a real work of art as well. Superb!!!

Wow, what beauties! And they're also big, I thought they're smaller until you held them in the hand.
Do you have in mind any special project for them?

Awesome.
Question (not criticism) - some of the leaves have lines carved into them. Is that done after polish? Would it look a little softer if you scribed the lines before final polish? Just curious. Fantastic work.

Thanks for all the comments. Wow, what beauties! And they're also big, I thought they're smaller until you held them in the hand. Do you have in mind any special project for them? Adrian Adrian, I don't have any project in mind for these. These are mounted on a board that will fit inside a standard AFMS federation display case, so I have just used these from time to time for display in rock shows. I have made some broaches out of them in the past. Other than that, what do you do with them? The sizes vary quite a bit, from the little quaking aspen at 5 o'clock in the center circle and the orange leaf at the extreme lower right, to the largest - ginkgo and oak. Toad, the veins are scribed, not carved, so polishing after scribing would wipe out the veins. I've tried some modifications, like the orange leaf (11th pic, I think) where I scribed the lines and didn't use the gold, but then you can hardly see the veins (I bet you didn't see them in that leaf). The scribe lines have to be deep enough to hold the coloring agent. Polishing wouldn't completely take out the scribe lines, but they would no longer be deep enough to hold the coloring agent. Thanks again for the comments, Garry

... Other than that, what do you do with them? Wire trees, with leaves more realistic than anything I've seen so far.

Nice work. Great Inspiration. I have been wanting to get around to doing something like them. Maybe in the next month or so.
