My buddy was hunting elk in eastern Oregon last fall and found these-I haven't a clue what they are,but look agatized in the center..........Most are alot bigger than this piece.They are this orange red and than he had some that were tan yellow....Same rock,two different colors. (one had small crystals in it too)

Probably a flint or chert nodule. Some can have strange shapes. Don

truthfully i can`t see it , try a picture at three or four inches from the specimen .

appears to be a maroon,orange, brown agate in a limestone crust. Looks worthy of slicing, and will be able to see it better
