Hi All, My name is Sherman Rowland and I'm with Highland Park Lapidary Company www.HPLapidary.com. We manufacture brand new Highland Park style slab saws, Rock's style Bull Wheel Grinders and of course new equipment designs including our new High Speed Sphere Machine. For those of you who own old Highland Park saws, we have replacement parts including hard to find gears, split nuts/feed dogs, power feed screws, bushings, hoods, and the like for square rail Highland Park saws. We don't support the old grinder saw combination units unfortunately. We starting building saws because we felt that the current equipment available was either overpriced or was of poor quality. While we're definitely the "little guy" in the lapidary industry, we are committed to help grow the hobby by providing quality equipment at fair prices. We have two sister companies - Rare Earth Trading Company www.RareEarthTrading.com and Spheres to You www.spherestoyou.com. We are avid rock cutters - specifically Agates and Spheres. We regularly import rock into the US from around the world and are always looking for collections as well. Best regards, Sherman

Welcome Sherman. My old 14 inch HP saw is a real workhorse, one of the old round rail machines.

In case anyone's interested, these saws are manufactured in China. Nuf said.

Thanks for the kind welcome rockoonz. We'll be coming out with the 14 later this fall and will have direct bolt in replacements for square rail saws. Some of the parts will also work with the round rail machines like yours. As for the China comment, we are an American company building American designed products, in our American owned and managed factory (yes we are there day to day) in China for assembly. If you look at the quality and durability of our equipment, you'll see they are more ruggedly built than what you can get elsewhere at 1/2 to 1/3 the cost. Course if you want to fund the lifestyle of the big guys with the big prices, you can go ahead...

Welcome to RTH. I saw your referring to a 10" saw coming out at some point. I will be keeping my eyes open for that one!
