I got these from the rock sale last weekend. Some interesting slabs and one I dont know for sure. Closeup. Interesting tiny whatever. This resembles a mushroom.Thought at first coral, but seens to be a shell.You tell me. Closeup of top. Closeup of bottom.Seems to have a stem. Coral head? Another thing,should I cut it or leave it whole? Thanks for looking. snuffy

Think I'd leave that one whole. At least until you get a positive id. Could possibly be a fossil egg. Those look like they could be fossil bones of some ancient critter in the next to last pic.

The first slabs are Syringopora Coral in brown limestone . Ive only seen these coming from exposed pennsylvanian strata in the river just a couple miles north of here . ive sold several small chunks on ebay, this is very likely one of them but could from elsewhere . Love that turritella, got to say, have`nt seen any just like that before . i agree with Curt on the echinoid .Don`t know the variety
