Howdy folks, Whoo hooo! Got my copy of Zenz's Agates III today. Another really pretty book! Huge section on agate genesis, inclusions, geologic formations etc with tons of illustrations both pics and drawings. Still a bit biased towards European, especially German stuff, and some sections are a bit repetitive if you have the other two books but it's all worth it for the huge section on jasper. ( about 160 pages) This section has eyepopping pics, is pretty comprehensive, and up to date. Book is worth the price for this section alone. Overall, another impressive volume for the quartz gem library......Mel

Lucky you! - I'm still waiting for my copy.... Did you see my Thundereggs in the book? I know the German version they were on page 556/557 - Unsure if Johann used any other of my stones in other parts of the book. The suspense is killing me! lmao

Oh man that book sounds great. Just wondering, is there a spread in the book on Hungarian agate? Or for that matter in any of the other agate books? Steve

Steve: All three books are weak on Hungary. Only a very few pages in each and I love those Matra Mtns moss agates. Rayerminerals.homestead.com is the best site for Hungarian stuff. He's very strong on Matra Mtns and even has some for sale......Mel
