Hello everyone! Here's my first cab I did this year. An oval yin-yang from mookaite and a local rock. Here it is: Size: Side view: Back (also mookaite): Thank you for looking, Adrian

Awesome Australian/Romanian Cab Adrian!
I desperately need one of those calipers. I can't even read the old fashion one I have.

Thank you everyone!
Ed, you ask why did I back with mook. Here is why: I had to do a lot of grinding on the two parts of the yin yang, the local rock being an end-cut and being thicker than the mook slab. I was affraid about chipping the local rock, which had some very fine fractures (so fine, that they did not become more noticeable once the cab was done). I once made an yin yang without backing and it holds fine, but I didn't want to take the risk this time. Kinda thick, that backing, ain't it?

I can only imagine the ammount of time and concentration it took to get that fit so precise, Adrian. Fantastic piece!
