you got to retract the rock vice by loosening that wing nut and cranking it back a bit
the oil you can just pour in by the blade or one of the holes in the deck till the blade just starts to throw it and a touch more
there is another nut that you loosen that is that flat one by the crank that will allow the rock vice to move along that rail - the screw at the other end of the vice is what you tie your line to for gravety feed

Yep its an oldie but goodie Hpark built like a tank and as heavy as one, was my first rock saw and was just sitting as I use mostly the raytech that I got from a friend.
