I have only begun to dig. After the basement, the shed is next. But that will have to wait until after spring thaw. Did I mention my shed is a single stall garage ?

I found something in my basement to. a few years ago I found an old Mcdonalds or was it BK burger still in the wrapper. When I found it I realized that it was over three years old when I had a construction project going on. The funny thing or should I say scary thing was that when I unwrapped it it looked as if it just came out of the restaurant. Not one sign of rot or decay. Makes you wonder what they put into those things and in turn what we put into our bodies by eating that crap. Well at the time I was a fast food junkie but after seeing that I wouldn't go near one of those places. Stu

Here ya go Stu. This was just posted by a friend on facebook. McDonald’s confirms that it’s no longer using ‘pink slime’ chemical in hamburgers McDonald's announced last week that, as of last August, is has stopped using ammonium hydroxide in the production of its hamburgers. MSNBC reports that the chemical, used in fertilizers, household cleaners and even homemade explosives, was also used to prepare McDonalds' hamburger meat.
And while the announcement is making headlines, you may (or may not) want to know about some other unusual chemicals being used in the production of some of our most-popular foods.

Don that is why I stay away from processed foods and try to stay with off the farm produce in season or foods with only organic ingrediants. However for the most part I just make it myself. I became quite the cook. Stu

Stu and Don....You guys are making me feel really good about what I ate tonight. 2 Double Cheeses...from, of course McD's. I didn't see any pink slime residue...and, heck...I'm getting better on the treadmill at the gym. I'm running 3.6 miles in 35 minutes. I'm gonna try to get to 4 miles in 35 minutes in a couple weeks. I guess I'll keep drinking about 4 diet cokes a day...fast fod junkie and a sweet tooth. Sidetracked from obviously those basement treasures. I love when you go hunting Don...you find some amazing stuff! Love that Bruneau. Can't wait til you discover that box of hidden Mexican Agates you stashed away for me years ago. steve

No Mexican agates, but did find a stash of fire agates, and about 1/4 lb of small turquoise pieces.

Here's some more from this box. Fire agate rough. All collected from the desert floor in the Willey Wells area in the 50's & 60's. About 2 lbs of rough.

Another one freshly unwrapped. My old Foredom super flexible 7-D handpiece. Now if I can just find the box with the motor, maybe I can play with some of that fire agate.
