Here's a stone from the area of the Hauser beds, California - not one of the classic Hausers. This is from a boxful I just received from California to help me get to grips with the thunderegg locations there - sent in exchange for some European t-eggs. Cant have too much trading of unusual far-away locations! :-D This is the first I have cut and polished and I think this stone alone was worth the trade!

That's a nice one, alright! Looks like an ocean scene.

Great piece and it looks like this is turning out to be a great trade. Looking forward to seeing photos of the others. Paul

I never ever tire of looking at rocks, especially cut and polished.

Wow, that's a beauty alright! As Donnie said, looks like a 'picture' of a seaside scene.

My husband and I were digging geodes at the Hauser beds in Jan. We had a great time and pack out a few buckets. I would be trekking up a hill and hear a woohoo, I knew Don had hit another 'potato' patch! We were surprised to be in there area for a couple of days and never spotted any fellow rockhounds. There are still lots there to be dug. We will be going back next winter, Don loved digging those 'potatoes'! I will post some pics when we get a chance to cut some open.
