I am planning a trip to Chandler in March. Are there any good rock shop in the area. I would like to purchase rough material to take home.

Just go find some. There is great material everywhere. Burro Creek is a good place to start. Where in Canada are you from?

What type of rough do you seek? Stuff native to Arizona? Or does it matter?
Out in the Chandler area there are a couple rock shops --not well known-- in the Apache Junction area.
Plus there are local sellers on the board that would be happy to load you up. Seek and you shall easily find... Ed

See Mary Ann and Ralph while there. Natural Expressions in Gilbert has a few rocks too.

I have rough up here in Wickenburg. You may have some it for free, it is all local that I have picked up here in Arizona. If you would like to go on a rock hunt, I would be happy to take you out. No charge, just friendly rockhounding. PM me and let me know. Sheri

Can't beat Sheri's offer. Do you still have the rock shop going Sheri? Chandler to Wickenberg is very close compared to Canada to Chandler.

Closed the rock shop down before Christmas. Just piles and some slabs now.
