Here is my first cab....got my machine 93 1/2 percent finished ...lol....I need to redo my spray shrouds....I design on the fly and well I flew to far with the rotozip and cut my buckets/ shrouds too much but nonetheless I was eager to try it out !....so here is my first try....pretty good I think....There is something I learned while learning to play my saxophone ( I was an adult first time instrument player at the time) and that is that just because you can read individual notes and can make individual sounds come out does not mean by any stretch that you can read and play music !! So it is with cabbing !! Its one thing to put a shine on a rock yet quite another to create a nice cab....This was a broken corner of what I believe to be some sort of agate....obviously it is freeform...the dome it is not even and is rather flat....and the corners are not quite as well polished as the main body....but all in all I am beaming with joy over creating a pretty cab with a machine I built !!......I will post a pic of the machine later.........all comments and suggestions are welcome......oh and by the way......this was sanded through the 3000 grit wheel.....havent tried the cerium oxide on leather yet.................... Nice first cab! Impressive that you built your own machine. You'll have to post pictures of it when you get the kinks worked out. Robert
