OK, only thing wrong with the reasoning here that I can see is, if you warn a bad person that a good person has plans against him or her, being bad in the first place, that person will have no reservations about staging a preemptive strike against the good person. Therefore, following the good guy path and warning the bad guy endangers the good guy. I would prefer letting the good guy choose the action so it's their choice to stoop to the level of the bad guy or keep wearing the white hat. So in the long run, as a third party, it's better to just stay out of it unless you want to risk endangering the good guy. And you're right, family pretty much sucks. I prefer mine live far away *L*......Mel

With not knowing any details I think your guiding light should shine upon and focus on how your actions will effect not either party involved but how it will effect you. In the end if we like to admit it or not we all ultimately act i a manner that will best serve ourselves. If it benefits you to become involved than do so. if it benefits you not to be involved than stay out of it. Stu

Yah. I'm with Stu here.... how will it affect YOU?
If you're going to feel guilty for NOT telling, then tell. If you are going to feel guilty for telling, then don't tell. That's what matters... YOU, and how YOU feel about what is happening and what will happen afterwards.
Good luck on this Jo!!

Jo, I am sorry you got blindsided. I thought that was only me that ends up in situations like that! Because it obviously bothers you, you might want to give a heads up and just let the person know what happened to you. Your choice in the end and even sometimes if it makes you hurt, you have to do what you feel is right and then walk away. I hope this will pass soon for you! Fran
