Mittens is at it again..."The man of the people" his latest ploy to show his connection with the average Joe is his application to build a new mansion in La Jolla because "Romney’s campaign said the existing, smaller “manse” was “inadequate for [the Romneys'] needs.” "
The new house will be about 4 times bigger than the old mansion which was 3000sf and will be bulldozed...oh yeah
Some features will be a car elevator.
The mansion has its own lobbyist to try to steer it through
I'm guessing this house will be worth more than his $10million lake house in New Hampshire

Let's get Joe the Plumber in the white house. He's a man I can relate to.

At some point, none of these guys relate to us 'average Joes'. It's all a matter of degree.
How about that lawyer in the WH now - with his hindreds of rounds of golf, 2 week vacations in Hawaii, and sending a 13 year old daughter on her own vacation to Mexico (with dozens of bodyguards).
Ain't none of these guys knows what's its like to be me, and it doesn't matter. What matters is what he will do in office.
So what is your point, Charlie? The guy is uber-rich, does that mean he'd be a worse president than the current rich guy? I don't see why...

lol, I'll give you that one. Though one could say he is readying to play host to world leaders, he will need nice digs. You know, Reagan and GW had ranches, HW had Kennebunkport, perhaps he will have Putin over for a game of billiards. And a drive in house sounds pretty secure. . .Maybe he will even pay for his own vacations. . .

Nah, I'd build a drive in rock shop with all of the very best equipment. Electric hoist to lift the bigguns into the 48" saw. Bathroom, shower and kitchen right in the shop too.

Now that is one hell of an idea Jake. I'll have one of those. Going from sitting on the john to sitting in my chair and back again on bad days. The only thing that is connected to my shop is my bedroom so I have to haul all my water in buckets from the bathroom and I do not like it. Maybe we can get him to build one for all of us. Jim

I'm gonna win that big lottery tonight. then I'll have my cement contractor neighbor draw up plans for my shop. Heat pump heating and air conditioning and the whole ball of wax. Already have a power pole on the back lot, and a water line running along the west side. Just need to put in a septic tank for the sewer system, and a settling tank for rock snot.
