We picked up some rocks yesterday in Lake Superior near Au Train that might be unakite. We picked up lots of red and green rocks, but some looke like granite with green streaks. The green is a consistent color on all the rocks. What do you think? Is it unakite?
Thanks, Rob

Oops, forgot the picture!
I'm away from home, and I can't figure out how to post a picture from my iPad. I'll have to post later I guess.

They look like unakite to me. They will take a high gloss polish. Scott

The Unakite I've found on the shores of Lake Superior is a lot greener and a lot oranger. Are the colors in the picture kinda muddied? The picture doesn't show the green very well, does it?

No, I'd say the picture is fairly accurate. It's a light green.

The unakite I've always seen is darker green than what you have.
