As soon as I saw it I thought it was the coolest wood I'd ever seen. The it occurred to me there is no such thing as fossilized veneer (not to mention it's a solid chunk). Anyone have any idea from where this flint came?

Looks like it comes from the creeks around here...I have found some pieces in the creeks where I hunt agate...He may have found it over by Toledo Bend...It is close to where he lives..John
