hi all, having a problem polishing my shells. they come out great in my rotary, but the vibe leaves a matt finish. i use aluminum oxide polish and corn cob filler, it seems as though the corn cob leaves a brownish powder in the vibe, would walnut shell be a better choice. also am making some cabs with my shells, not very good at it yet, have a grinder with 6" wheels what would i use to polish with, felt - leather - cotton - would i use a o dry or wet. i mixed ao with water and sprayed it on a felt pad the pad became hard as a rock. any help on this matter would be appreciated. thanking you guys in advance joejan ps happy easter to all

You have to keep the pad damp. You will have to experiment with the walnut shell. I've never polished shell but am guessing the Vibra Dry from Diamond Pacific would work. You would be better off calling them for grit recommendations.
