Rainbow Jasper in Pyrite or Rainbow Sea Sediment Jasper in Pyrite. I'm starting to see this stuff polished into cabs. It looks like a really brightly colored puddingstone. The colors look too bright. I'm wondering if this is manmade from different colored dyed stone.
It's real pretty though. Does anyone know anything about it?

With alot of searching, the most info I can find is that it comes in many hues and comes from China. Guess it's manmade then.

One listing calls it a "natural stone of rainbow sea sediment jasper with chalcoprite also known as copper pyrite"

This isn't mine. I just wondered if anyone has seen it around and knows anything about it. The colors are striking. Seems to be rather new on the market. Jo
