I have quite a bit of west Tx. plume agates and judging by the porous almost lava rock outer crust I`d say you have plumes going on in there. But I have been surprised at how some have color changes from outer crust to inner rock suitable for cabbing. Some have so much porosity that a good solid slab can be hard to come by. But when you get em, they are nice! I will be waiting to see some of these slabs when you get them cut.

I'm taking my time figuring out how to cut this one. There is no clear orientation because the bubbles and sagenite change directions in different parts of the rock. I may have to cut it into thirds before slabbing. I think it's time for a new blade on my big, saw, too. I will be sure to post slabs.
Yeah, I wonder about vugs and pores, too. I guess if nothing else, I'll learn something from cutting it.
