Hi everyone, hope everyone has a good weekend. Will give it another try to find out what this material is, before showing my carving project with it. Last time I showed you the other side covered with Drusy. This material is layered dark blue followed by greenish/natural clear, followed by a thin dark layer and then again clear/bluish and then Drusy. Thats pretty much the way I described it last time, but now after shaping the back of the pendant I came upon those funny looking inclusions. Looks just like 8 sided feathered stars. Now that might just be the info needed to ID this stuff. Thanks in advance for any help you could give in order to solve this puzzle.

Almost looks like some firework obsidian. How is it to grind? Fran

Overall tough material, not easy to break/splinter as embedded in agate (?) without any other impurities.
But grinding easily and trying to undercut. So I'm sure its foreign material that was in place first and was covered by the agate layers. One more thing, its possibly part of the rind.

It certainly is Jim, yet as it came as an extra in a shipment, not even the seller can tell me for certain what it is.
