This stuff seems really common loose around here. Interestingly, I found this in a piece where two sheets of clay had seperated, So I just stuck a chisel in and broke off a small chunk. The area also has alot of iron veins and some parts of this stuff sticking out looked rusted. I broke off a piece that looked cleaner. There still like a 10 foot sheet of it where I found this. I'm guessing its a vein of quartz or feldspar or something? Just curious. You cant really tell from the pictures but you can see light through it. Some parts were more crystally looking while some were more solid looking like this one. imgur.com/XVYgO,ptK2u Thanks, Jeff

The second picture looks a bit quartzy, rather than like feldspar. Based on the clay layers in which you found it, I would test for hardness to rule out calcite, gypsum and other possibilities.
