Lots of times while reading the posts on this board, I get confused as top whether the posts are referring to rotary or vibratory tumbling. Mixing the directions between the two can be disastrous in your results. So... how about splitting the board into two sections. Rotary tumbling and vibratory tumbling. yes, I know sorting the old messages will be a chore, but maybe also a necessity?
What does everyone think. Would this help or is it just me that gets confused?
Thanks! Phil

I can usually tell what type of tumbler is being used, It helps to know what tumblers are what though, as the brand name is what many refer to when posting. It would be tough to split the section though, as many of us coarse grind with a rotary and finish with a vibe.

General rule.... if a topic mentions "weeks" or 60/90 grit, it's rotary. The 60/90 grit is the only thing that can be disastrous, spending weeks in a vibe can only make the rock smoother as long as they're monitored for proper movement.
