Have a good one... I hope you have some more nights too, you share pics of a lot of cool rocks I like to enjoy when I dont get sucked into one of these exercises in futility that these off topic threads usually become...
PS- we are still waiting on the results of your microscope peek at those crystals on that geode a few days back. Cool stuff.

Still up. Just got the scope and camera today. Been busy with mother in law problems. Finally found time to install the camera software on my computer. Tomorrow I play.

Thank You Chad...working and getting paid is how we redistribute the wealth.
Keeping jobs in this country is how we redistribute the wealth. As Walmart and Target have proven, Americans will not pay $3.00 for an American widget when they can buy the Chinese version for $2.00. Those jobs are not coming back any time soon, unless we are smart enough to make a $1.50 widget in the States. As we are learning when we see the Renaissance of Manufacturing, mostly (at least partially) automated factories in this country
In the USA, we need jobs that pay a living wage, not just sustenance, but a real living wage. Our economy may have done fine with just producing enough food and basic goods before the WW era, but that does not cut it anymore. We need our cellphones, no most of us now need smart phones. We need our PCs, no most of us now need our Kindles and Ipads. We need to tell our friends what we are doing today, no we need to tell friends , acquaintances and anyone else who will listen that we just had our hair cut and our nails done too. The Genie is out of the Bottle and we need the latest toy. Our kids need toys, not one or two but a whole entire house full, Most of us need bigger houses because we have so much stuff. Right or wrong that won't end anytime if we can help it.
In the US we have a Consumerism economy, People buy the latest and greatest goods(goods...what a way to describe it) and for some shopping is a competitive sport. As a nation we love to spend money to save money(maybe the ultimate oxymora). People have to get paid good salaries to keep the economy pumped and redistribute the wealth. If the money is sitting on the sidelines our economy doesn't work. If it is in the hands of a precious(good choice of words) few our economy does not work. When everyone is spending, we can afford to pay twice as much as the rest of the world combined on Defense (defense...another marketing guru gets a gold star for that description) and still have enough left over to pay for SS, and Medicare, and maybe for housing and food for those born without the kind of health and means to make a living that you and I enjoy.
