Finally! I started these in march. Finally they are done. Mix of several things. The black is supposedly jennie blue ohio flint. Bought a rock and broke it up with a hammer and tumbled. The rest are a mix of agates/ jaspers from the rock shed. Some of the rough is shown but along the way they have moved to variable barrels at different times. Thanks for looking Bill Some rough photos -60 grit Polished group jennie blue flint A few of the others

They all look great, I really like that jennie blue flint but I googled it and didnt get any results. You had some tough pits to get through by the looks of the rough pics.
Do you polish in a vibe or do you use rotary all the way?

Great tumble! Love the flint but I believe that's "Nellie" Blue Flint not "Jennie". If you got you a gal friend, you better remember to keep that gals name straight *L*.....Mel

Bill, great stuff, I love that Nellie blue.
I hounded this weekend and picked up a LOT (almost said a ton but I don't think I'm quite there) of blue agate! I hope it turns out half as well as your flint did.
Did you use 2 barrels (one for tumble, one for polish) or did you go all the way in one?
Really nice tumble.

Thanks for looking jason, susan and herchenx.
I have 2 tumblers - a lortone 3 and lortone 33. Three 3 pound barrels. I have one barrel dedicated for polish. I have various rocks in various stages spinning most of the time. I am a true beginner and have picked up tips from this board.
Herchenx- I'm sure your blue agate will look great!
Jason- Delayed gratification is a great way to put what this tumbling hobby is all about. It seems like nothing is happening until you get past the 60 grit stage and then all the sudden it moves along quickly. Once you hit the polish stage it seems to all come together and voila= shiny rocks
Thanks again for the comments. Can't wait to see your stuff.
