Are there any horse fans on the forum? Tomorrow, NBC Sports will host the Belmont Stakes, the final gem in the Pursuit of the Crown, the Triple Crown, at 6:40 PM EST. Coverage for the races held at the Belmont will be aired by NBC Sports at 4:30 PM EST. I'll Have Another, winner of the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, will compete against 11 other horses to win the Crown. A horse must win the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and the Belmont to claim the Triple Crown. It's been 34 years since Affirmed won the Triple Crown, and 11 horses have failed to win the Triple Crown after him. Sure hope everyone will tune in to see the race! Many believe Dullahan or Union Rags or another horse will spoil I'll Have Another's pursuit of the Crown. -> The most famous run in the Belmont is Secretariat's 31-length win in 1973. What an athlete!! Chic Anderson gives the famous race call, "...He (Secretariat) is moving like a Tremendous Machine!!"

I was just reading that I'll have Another was purchased at auction for $35k. If he wins he will be worth about $10m

Hi, Lee, Just found out that I'll Have Another has been scratched from the Belmont and the Pursuit for the Crown due to tendon injuries. His trainer will be holding a press conference with the NYRA around 1pm today. I just watched a video of his jog/training around the Belmont track this morning with Lava Man and he looked like he was a bit "off." What a disappointment. Also heard "rumors" that I'll Have Another will be retired.

It would have been a great international story too. A Mexican jokey working for a California horse owner riding a Canadian horse. That doesn't happen every day.
