Hi All, I just can't help myself from cabbing. I go out to the shop to do something else and then find myself looking through slabs for more cabs to make. Needless to say, the things I am supposed to do aren't geting done. I think I'm hopelessly addicted. Oregon jasper: Funky little AZ pet. wood: Cady Mountain moss agate gingko leaf: India green tree agate leaf cab: Oregon moss agate: Another Oregon green moss agate: Last but not least, a nicely colored ammolite: Have a great weekend and thanks for lookin'

Wow. Great shapes. Love the colors in the ammolite. I'm just a beginner. What did you use to cut those shapes (tree/leaf / and #2)? Bill

Wow, I am really starting to think I have some sort of psychic thing going on. This morning I was thinking of the leaf cabs that you did a while back. At least I think they were yours but I couldn't remember who did them. I wanted to show them to my wife but I couldn't find them in my search. Now here is one of your leaf cabs. Now if I can just get my mind off of the rocks and try to think of numbers. Like the winning lotto number LOL. Did you do the leaf with a rotary tool like a Dremel or a Fordham? They are all winners I love the green moss in the clear agate. Looks like a green plant encapsulated in a bottle.. I am really getting into those moss type of rocks with the plumes. They have a very organic look. Thanks for posting

Great looking stuff, Garry! I totally know what you mean, about rocks getting in the way of things you are supposed to be doing - happens to me all the time! And if it's not the rocks calling me, it's talking about the rocks on RTH... sigh.
Really great stuff you are going with the stones! Jean

We're supposed to be doing stuff besides rocks? I thought we were just supposed to keep eating with paper plates and our fingers! lol! Great pieces all but I really like that first moss agate!!! Very cool piece!

Man oh man that Oregon jasper is gorgeous! Got to say those leaf cabs are very unusual and super cool too. Especially like the Indian tree Agate and it's very unusual to find a piece that clear and free of vugs too.....Mel

Wow. Great shapes. Love the colors in the ammolite. I'm just a beginner. What did you use to cut those shapes (tree/leaf / and #2)? Bill Thanks Bill, I do 95 to 100% of my shapes on my trim saws. If I'm really serious about it, I will touch them up with my carving tools. Unclestu, I have posted leaf cabs on this forum before, but I couldn't get the search mode to work to find them. Here are some on another forum: gemstone.smfforfree4.com/index.php/topic,8180.msg83391.html#msg83391 Thanks everybody for your comments! Think I'll go make another cab or two.

Thanks for the link to the other leaf cabs. I book marked it. The are really great. It looks like you etched viens in the green leaf that was in the link. That was really cool. Stu
