I was given this in a box of odds and ends and I'm clueless what it may be named. Does anyone have an idea what this rock maybe? Guessing 6-7 in hardness, scratch test white. Dog tooth crystal growth. Thanks for any suggestions.

If you enlarge the first pic, the material looks grainy. I'm thinking quartzite.
