OK, I am new to mineral specimens and am stumped by this. I looks like smoky quartz and pyrite in matrix but I am unsure of this. Does anyone have any clues? Thanks in advance. Attachments:

Not much of a mineral guy but dogtooth crystals like those are fairly common in the calcite /aragonite group. Probably other minerals with that type crystal too but I'd guess one of those with pyrite or marcasite. Quartz does not usually crystalize in that form but if you break off a tiny piece and put it in some acid, it should fizz if in the calcite group whereas quartz would not....Mel

Thanks everyone. The specimen is about 6.5-7 inches long but I am unsure of the weight. I have been offered this for what may or may not be a reasonable price. Any guesses at what would be too high of a price for this? Also sorry about not hosting the picture elsewhere, I will remember that for next time.
