because. just because.
AND It is so heart warming to see a case of our tax dollars at work. In the end they will probably get promoted to a position where they have control of billions instead of millions. Jim

Have you read the whole bill, if it's humanly possible. This late into an election year I would think that somewhere in the legislation there's a "poison pill" that the republicans can't remove from the bill, to make sure the Dems are able to demonize them in their campaign ads. However, when I googled it it seemed the more conservative news sources are strangely silent about it. I am definitely tired of the cover-ups, failure after over 3 years to pass a budget, the "leaks" and so on. Seems like nothing but political posturing. On the face of it we see a battle between ideologies, but in reality is it nothing more than a pack of sheep dogs, to the left and right of us nipping at our heels driving us into the squeeze pen of no liberties "for our own good"

Democracy: Two wolves and a sheep discussing what to have for dinner. . .
As Churchill once opined; "It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried."

thehill.com/blogs/floor-action/senate/239029-republicans-blocked-the-democrats-insourcing-bill"Republicans were considering supporting the insourcing bill until Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said he wouldn't include any GOP amendments." Gee, I wonder why Reid wouldn't include any amendments? **sarcasm off** S. 2884: Bring Jobs Home Act H.R. 5542: Bring Jobs Home Act They'll try again. Maybe next time it won't be right before an election. Really, the bill didn't amount to much of an effort. Just politics as usual.

I'm sure the Dems had alot of "Pork Barrels" added to the "Bill" and the Repubs won't have nothing to do with the extra spending!!! You only hear what they want you to hear!!! You only see what they want you to see!!!

Democracy is an illusion. Created to keep the masses in their place. The irony is that the masses actually believe it and believe they have a positive effect when voting. in reality they just vote one bum in after another - and round and round it goes.

It is all just to throw you off the scent of whatever they are really trying to accomplish, kinda like walking through water to throw off the scent dogs, just a diversionary tactic to get you looking at one hand while the other hand is doing some kind of magic trick which makes billions of dollars magically disappear.

This is the whole bill: www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/112/s3364/textOne of the simplest and most straightforward bills I've yet seen. The Republicans refused to bring home jobs because Democrats refused to add Amendments to the bill? What kind of Amendments can you add to a bill that simply takes away incentive for outsourcing by giving tax breaks to hire overseas and instead gives a tax break for hiring here? I looked up these Chinese highways and bridges, and this is what Factcheck.org (not the political 'factcheckers' but the University of Pennsylvania Annenberg Institute site) had to say... Obama had nothing to do with highway bidding (which common sense tells you that hiring contractors for bid is very far down the political totem pole and typically done by civil servants): www.factcheck.org/2012/02/did-obama-approve-bridge-work-for-chinese-firms/Mark, I agree with you in principle. However, to prevent armed revolution, which we are now seeing in more and more nations worldwide, the 'powers that be' have to at least pretend they care about the citizens and nation. This is the most blatant example of 'let them eat cake' I've seen from any group, Dem or Rep, ever. They are completely starting to lose touch with reality.

Politicians have always been a bit out of touch with the majority... consider what it takes to BECOME a politician and the amount of focus and dedication to getting the campaign money to run and get their names out there.
But WE need to remind them, because no one else is going to.

The more than obvious shift to a blatant oligarchy we are currently seeing is the immediate issue. Careful, Roy. I know what you're saying is mostly tongue in cheek and is currently still considered free speech but for how long...

Well, you'd be amazed how many people on FB are talking about armed revolution. It's not illegal to say that, it's illegal to plan for it. Speech is speech until it impinges on someone else's freedom or potential freedom.
That said, I don't think this nation is nearly as miserable as the other nations who have done it this past year, and we DO still have legislative solutions. It boils down to a matter of whether the citizens rights are as important as corporations rights, because the 2 interests are polar opposites.

I suspect that if this government, both Republican and Democrat continues along its current path, we WILL see a new revolutionary war within our borders. The people are fed up with politics as usual. There is more and more unrest within our borders every day. The government thinks they have the military to protect them. They'd better think again. The military are common working people, just like you and I.

As you see in the video, they basically admitted they are corrupt. They have no problem taking tax payer money and wasting it. Google that company? Its real! And the bosses liked it all up. They will be releasing more hidden camera interviews. Stay tuned, as I will post them to. Tell you a little story about myself bhiatt. I own a small seasonal business in the winter. And in the summer, ready for this? I work for the Ministry of highways. Yes I'm in the union. So don't bull$hit us about hard workin union people. No one in the private sector would ever get away with the crap that gets pulled in the union and still have there jobs. The way I see it. If a person takes a job with the Government. They should have to give up there right to vote. Most Gov union workers don't vote for the good of the country/state/province. They vote for there JOBS first!!! I see this at work every election. :2cents:
