I have a local autoglass shop saving me their shop-vac glass. Unfortunately, they do 10-12 windshields for every door window and the door windows is where the good glass is for tumbling filler.

That blue glass looks awesome.
Another good source of tempered glass is a window, door and screen shop. That was my business in Texas and we were changing out sliding glass door glass quite often because the double glass had lost it's seal and the glass got foggy on the inside. Law requires that all door glass has to be tempered now. Standard doors with a glass window is required to be tempered as well as the window on both sides of a door if it is less than a door width away from the door opening.
Another way is to go to a salvage yard and ask if they have any vehicles that they do not need the glass from. Put a tarp inside the car and whack away. You can fill a five gallon bucket pretty fast. The back window in a car like a chevette has a lot of glass in it. Jim
