They go down what easier? Do you mean they go into a container easier? I've never had a problem with that so I guess I just am not getting the point.

Before we really got into rockhounding and lapidary in a big way (for us), we used to vacation on the Oregon coast in the summer, getting away from the oppressive Texas heat. We'd look for agates and occasionally find several, bring them home and tumble them. We didn't realize that there was a WORLD of agates out there until friends dragged us into this realm. Agates remain our favorites but finding other interesting rocks is facscinating. Still, it's hard to beat the backdrop when hunting for agates on an Oregon beach!

water needs chemicals in it so it doesn't go bad and the oil makes them show off better :<))
