Heaven! Whoops, I meant to say "I'm in HEAVEN!"!!!!! I just finished the most beautiful cab that rivals the best of the best that I've ever had the opportunity to work! It's Nacozari Turquoise. The pictures are ticking me off!!!!! I photographed outside and inside, used two different cameras, and the colors still look too blue. I can't figure this one out.... I always post true to colors but this one I can tell you right now looks too blue! It should be aqua! I don't know what I'm doing wrong with this stone..... maybe time to upgrade my camera/ x2 :help: Whatever, this stone is magnificent! I was so nervous working this because I have never worked turquoise before. I was paranoid and started all work on the 325. It really blew me away! I was so happy and had the biggest smile when I got to polish!!! Slab (scrap knife scale) Preform (back side) Cab shots: Thanks for taking some of your time to look at some of mine!!! ;D

Krystee, That is stunning! Are those metallic inclusions?
Your problem with the color in the pictures is probably the limitations of the srgb colorspace (which we use for posting jpgs on the internet) -- it simply cannot show light or deep aqua blues. I run into that when posting pics of aqua water from scuba diving - it either looks too blue or goes flourescent. Not your fault! (And a new camera won't help, sorry). Mucho frustrating, but everybody will just have to use their imaginations!

Nice shape and polish! Looks like I can see into the stone. Hard to get depth like that with turquoise! Beautifully done!

Subherb color and shape.
Everyone complains about finishing off Turquoise. You seem to have no hassle with it at all. So, congrats to a job well-done yet again.

you always dazzle us and I like the color the way it is. I think we should go back to film and get true everything but I can not fight progress all by myself. lol I have to admit digital makes life easier though and if you would not have told us we would not have known. Jim

Gorgeous Krystee! I see why you like this particular type of turquoise. What a great shine!

That's a great cab. Keep in mind that the color is going to show up different on different monitors anyway so don't get too stressed out about it.

Thank you!!!
Bluesky and Hub: yes there are metallic inclusions but I'm not sure what they are. The black spots shine silver.
