Howdy folks, Here are a few pics of some if the material from yesterday's mixed batch. Thanks for looking.....Mel More Texas pet wood from our Three Rivers, TX trip this spring. More of that nice Mozarkite from John. My favorite plume from the Woodward Ranch stuff: Rest the Woodward slabettes: Misc slabettes. Many of these will go to pendants for the kiddies. A few slabettes off a Rio Grande Plume that broke up when I was slabbing it: Condors and a single Mt. Tahoma Agate

You sure do get em' shiny! I like the pile of misc slabettes. Do you use glue on bails for your pendants?

Chuck, yep, I use the cheapo glue on bails form Eloxite or Kingsley North. The little kids aren't really that particular and that way I can turn out a lot of pendants fast and inexpensively. Use the bails on fossil sharkteeth too. The boys really like those a lot....Mel

I don't think I've seen tumbled Mozarkite before--it sure is pretty! Nice combination batch.

Wow Mel, That isn't a plume, it is the whole tree. Beautiful piece and the Rio Grande plume looks a lot like some of the rock that I find here. Upper right. I didn't know that it was called a plume until now. Your wood looks awesome also. I do not find that kind or variety here. Do the kids go for the wood? The tourists don't seem to like it. lol Jim

Jim, The kids actually go more for the banded agates, tiger eye, apache tears, fossil stuff like turritella and clear quartz varieties like amethyst. The parents they bring with them usually go ape over the wood varieties. Guess, since much of our Texas wood has good grain pattern, it's easier for them to identify and they find it more interesting. The kids just like shiny/pretty rocks.....Mel

The Condors and a single Mt. Tahoma Agates are very cool looking.
