Years ago I found this while digging around in my backyard. It is a flint nodule with oyster shells included in the rock. I find modern oyster shells on the beach nowdays that perfectly match in color. Even the purple color on exterior of the shells looks like it just left the water. I also found a crinoid float in a big chunk of chalk that had split open. I don`t know if I posted this one before so sorry if I did a repeat. That came out of your backyard? What a great find! The area where my parents live has these sandstone ridges and they contain a lot of fossil shells. Unfortunately, since it is sand stone they very soft and most are fragments. Paul
