OK, I finally got the small slab grabbers back and I got them painted tonight. They will be ready to go in a day or two so if anyone wants one they are $30 each and can be shipped for $6 in a padded flat rate envelope if I send the parts and you assemble it. If you want it shipped assembled it will have to go in a medium flat rate box and shipping will be $11, it will only take about half a box so if you want something else to fill the other half of the box up you can save on shipping by ordering at the same time.
These will do a rock up to 2 1/2" tall with the 3" rods. You can also order taller rods if you want to use it for larger rocks, If you want taller ones let me know if you want 4" or 5", should be around $5 for an extra set, not sure as I haven't made any of those yet.
I will post a pic tomorrow afternoon after I get off work and put some of them together.
Have a great day..........................Tony

Here are the pics. Small grabber with 3" grade 8 posts will open to about 2 1/2 inches, comes with 3/4" and 1 1/2" screws. Small grabber with the optional 5" grade 8 posts, opens to approx 4 1/2 inches. Both of them side by side Have a great day................Tony

All of them that have been paid for have been shipped. I have 10 left and I don't know how long before I can get any more. I did do some trade work for a milling machine last week, so with a little practice maybe I can just make these myself instead of waiting for someone else to do it for me.
I think I have answered everyone's pm's if not let me know and I will get right back to you.
Have a great day.................Tony

dam there some nice grabbers tony -- i think it was kim that had one kinda like that with the screws and it worked great better then the other design like from lorton -- lorton worked good but these seem to get a better bite on the rocks

I used one of these smaller ones this past week and I didn't like the way they worked, so I called the metal shop guy and he is redoing the top section to match the other slab grabbers I carry that swivel which gives a much better bite, it should also give you a better available range of rock sizes that can be clamped. Everyone who has bought one will get a new top section, you don't have to send the old one back, I will just send a new top section to you as soon as they are ready, I am hoping within a week or two.
Have a great day...................Tony

Wonderful, Tony! Thanks for looking after us. I noticed that on the small one & since I had used the medium one with the swivel I was wondering how that was going to work. Haven't had time to try it out yet & the swivel on the med one spoiled me!!!!!
