Howdy folks, Got back from thr firing range today and found a goody box in my mail. Our member, herchenx went up to Wamsutter, WY and was kind enough to mail me a treasure box full of gravel he dug from the area where the Goniobasis snails are loose in the ground. Couldn't wait to sort the stuff out. Was a lot of work but boy John got me some agatized snails to tumble. Here's a pic, about two pounds of good snails from the 17 # 0f mix. A bonus was another three or four pound of small turritella ( Goniobasis) rough for the tumbler. The bulk of the rest will not be wasted either. it contains a bunch of smaller snails hunks and turritella gravel. After washing, it will go in a couple of handfuls at a time as small filler for the tumbler. Again, thanks a bunch for your kindness John....Mel PS: Another of our members sent me a cool box too. It got sidetracked in the shop as I'm stuck doing wildlife census this week. I'll try to get a pic tomorrow but my dang battery is dead again and needs to be charged first *L*

Sweet! Glad it made it ok. Yeah all that was the result of 10 gallons of dirt me and the kids scraped off the ground. Hopefully not too much of it was antelope crap, i picked a lot of that out of the mix!
Thanks to John and others for helping me find my way there.

*L* John, we have over 300 blackbuck antelope on the ranch, plus cattle, horses, about 1000 whitetail and about a hundred mouflon sheep. I know of poop and it don't bother me one bit, especially when mixed with cool rocks....Mel

don't even have to pick the poop if you don't want; it floats, but I hear that it doesn't taste much different than recycled grass anyway if you happen to lick one :<)'

Hey it looks like you got some snails! Thats a bonus. I went out one more time and ended up having to leave before i was ready to get my team back to town. I hope to get back one more time this year and spend a day or two and get the ATV out and get back out into some more remote areas.
