Got to give a shout out to my new buddy, rock2dust(kevin) for taking the time to find me a piece of Deschutes from Judy Elkins store last weekend. He was nice enough to send me some pics of some nice size displays that were still available and I really liked one of them and he went back the next day and got it for me. I really think its cool that I actually got a display piece from Judys store instead of from like on eBay. IMO, it adds to the sentimental value. I figure(im a newby so bear with me) that pretty much all of the Deschutes that was ever picked probably started/passed throught the store but to still be able to get a nice display piece from there is pretty cool. Especially since the last of it was picked in the 80's(I think thats what Judy told me on the phone). This one will never get cut up.
Also he picked me out my very first Paulina limb casts. Got 2 of them. Really like both of them.

He sent me some photos of displays that he thought was the nicer ones out of the ones left. The one I purchased was in one of the photos that he took back in April that he posted on gemaddicts. Its the standup piece that says another shelf of museum-worthy, polished Deshutes chunks. The one on the right. Wish I could of went there myself but it was pretty cool of him to do that for me. And no its not going to get cut up. That would be blasphemy. gemaddicts.com/forums/index.php?PHPSESSID=dddd95a42eb72c0f0942ae843585a6cc&topic=1426.0
