This is a mixed load which has some Lake Superior Agates, Crazy Lace, Chert and "others". A couple views of the whole batch. Some of my "favorites" I love tumbling stones with fossils in them. This one I shaped on an antique grinder. I have since given up this practice after a post on the board about the dangers of rock dust.

Water will take care of the rock dust but then you need to take care of the water :<)

Great shine on them babies. That fossil tumble looks pretty neat. I grind and shape 90% of the stones I tumble. You can get a 3M half mask respirator and filter for less than 20 bucks on eBay. I bought respirators and a dozen P-100 filters pretty cheaply by waiting for a good deal.

You can tell you spent a lot of time with these by the nicely rounded shapes and great shine. Really nice batch. These may be your first posted pics but it appears you have done this for awhile? Done in rotary? vibe? rotary and vibe? Thanks for sharing bill

Wow, that's a really nice batch. You're a new member but it doesn't look like you're new to tumbling rocks.

Great batch of shiny ya got there! I really like the pink/peach one in the lower right corner of your favorites. Know what it is? Can't say I know. It came from a bag of landscaping rock we got last summer. Been collecting rocks for a long time but only recently tried to ID any.

Done in rotary? vibe? rotary and vibe? Thanks for sharing bill Done in rotory. I've been tumbling for 3 years now come December. Most of these were in coarse grind for 3 months with some of them longer. I tend to 'fall in love" with my rough and use them for back fill until they're as smooth as I like 'em to be. Got another mixed load in burnish now and will post pics soon. Thanks for looking.......Ken
